A summer Christmas in South Africa
This is a short, but image rich blog post about my own Christmas lunch. The photos explains it all and I am sure you too have a story to tell about your own Christmas lunch.
For me nothing says festive season like a slow-roasted leg of lamb and root vegetables. Don’t forget the creamy gravy and wine. Feast you eyes on this!
Wine of course!
I picked a Mourvèdre ’13 from Hermit on the Hill, Knights in Tights range. This is the perfect wine for a sunny afternoon with good food and good people.
After a glorious and rich meal like this. I recommend an afternoon nap or a short walk. Luckily, we have the vineyards and green belt nearby, so walk it was!
That is it for me. Signing off to go spend some time with family and enjoy delicious food. 😉
